Coach Ryder was born in South Philadelphia. He enters his first year with the South Jersey Jazz.  Coach Ryder brings 5 years of experience, coaching children ages 8 to 16. He has coached in the Gloucester Township and Winslow Township boys basketball leagues. His teams have consistently made playoff appearances and many times have won tournament championships. His 10U team won the 2007 NVBA Summer league championship. Tom has also served as a counselor in the TLC Basketball Camp (ages 8-17). Tom played competitive basketball from recreation level to Pro-am Level. Coach Ryder has a passion for basketball. He enjoys coaching and believes in teaching fundamental skills. He a firm believer that a player’s mentality on the court is transferable off the court.

Coach Ryder is a gradate of Farleigh Dickinson University (Madison, NJ). He has bachelor of science in Marketing and currently works in Medical Sales.
